What Diemakora is, and what it is not

Diemakora is a curated library of HTML5 browser games. The games themselves are made by independent studios and distributed through licensed networks; what we add is the layer around them. Every game page carries an original write-up โ€” an overview, a how-to-play section, a controls table, tips drawn from the genre and a short FAQ โ€” written to answer the questions people actually type into a search box before they click play.

We do not host thousands of near-identical listings and hope for the best. Games are grouped into categories with real descriptions, tagged by mechanic rather than by marketing word, and ranked by how players on this site actually behave: plays, likes and repeat visits. Pages that do not yet meet our quality bar are kept out of search engines until they do.

Two things we care about: the site should load fast on a phone, and it should be honest. If a game is desktop-only we say so. If the controls are awkward we say that too. Our blog covers the wider world of browser gaming โ€” how HTML5 games work, why some feel better than others, and how to get more out of a ten-minute break.
