About Diemakora

A small, independent site that takes browser games seriously enough to write about them properly.

What we do

Diemakora is a curated library of free HTML5 games that run directly in your web browser. There are currently 28,735 games on the site, sorted into categories and tags, and every one of them opens with a single click โ€” no installer, no plugin, no account.

The games are made by independent studios around the world and reach us through licensed distribution networks that pay developers for every play. We are not the developer of the games you see here, and we never claim to be. What we make is everything around the game: the descriptions, the guides, the controls tables, the tips, the category pages and the blog.

Why the guides matter

Most game portals list thousands of titles with a copied one-line blurb and nothing else. We think that is a bad experience. When you land on a game page here you should be able to answer, before you press play: What is this? How do I control it? Will it work on my phone? Is it any good for someone like me? Our page structure โ€” overview, how to play, controls, tips, details, FAQ โ€” exists to answer those questions in that order.

Where a developer has provided instructions we quote them, then add our own genre knowledge on top. Where the information is thin, we say so rather than inventing it. Pages that do not yet meet our standard are deliberately hidden from search engines until they are improved.

How games are chosen and ranked

  • Curation first. New games are added in small batches. Titles that fail to load, are broken on mobile or duplicate something already on the site are removed.
  • Player behaviour second. Rankings inside categories and on the home page follow real plays, likes and dislikes from visitors to this site โ€” not payment, not developer requests.
  • Editorial picks. The Featured list is chosen by hand. A featured game has to start quickly, control well and hold up to repeat play.

How the site is funded

Diemakora is free to use and is supported by advertising. Ads appear around the game, never inside your progress, and we do not sell your personal data. Some games contain their own advertising placed by the developer or distributor; that is outside our control, but you can report anything inappropriate with the flag button under any game and we will act on it. Our privacy policy explains exactly what is collected and by whom.

Who is behind it

Diemakora is operated by Diemakora, a small team with a background in software development and digital product design, based in Germany. Articles on the blog are signed Diemakora Editorial Team; they are written and edited by people, not generated in bulk.
