Privacy Policy
Last updated November 2026. This policy explains what Diemakora collects, why, who else is involved, and what you can do about it.
1. Who we are
Diemakora ("we", "us") is operated by Diemakora, Germany. For any question about this policy or your data, email info@diemakora.net or use the contact form.
2. What we collect and why
Information you give us
If you create an account, we store the username, email address and a hashed password you provide. If you contact us or report a game, we store the message and the email address you enter so that we can reply. We never ask for payment details, because nothing on the site costs money.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type, referring page and time of each request. Logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are rotated automatically.
- Local storage and cookies. We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage entries to remember games you have played, votes you have cast, whether you have dismissed the cookie notice and, if you log in, your session. Games themselves may store their own progress in your browser.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand which pages are popular. Where a third-party analytics tool is used, it is configured to anonymise IP addresses and it is listed in section 4.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use them for three purposes: essential site functions (for example keeping you logged in), remembering preferences (your played-games list, the cookie notice) and advertising (see below). You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site will keep working, although some conveniences will reset. On your first visit we show a notice with a link to this page.
4. Advertising and third parties
Diemakora is funded by advertising. We work with advertising partners, including Google AdSense, that may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
- For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, a consent message is shown before personalised ads are served, and your choice can be changed via the cookie settings link in the footer.
The games on this site are hosted by third-party distributors and load inside an embedded frame. Those distributors, and the developers of individual games, may set their own cookies or show their own advertising inside the game. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies, which we cannot control. If a game behaves inappropriately, use the report button under it and we will review it.
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the service you asked for, such as an account), legitimate interest (security, preventing abuse, measuring aggregated usage) and consent (personalised advertising and any non-essential cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
6. Retention
Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Contact and report messages are kept for up to 12 months. Account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify anyone may be kept indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email info@diemakora.net. We respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity first.
8. Children
Diemakora is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we do not show personalised advertising on pages flagged as directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed. Access to the administration area is restricted and logged. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we follow reasonable industry practice.
10. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and update the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced on the blog.
