Welcome to One Bit, a browser-based racing game. Click play, wait a moment for it to load, and you are in. In One Bit every corner is a small decision — brake early and lose time, brake late and risk the wall. That tension is what keeps people replaying the same track. A few things the tags reveal: it has retro pixel-art visuals.

About One Bit

Embark on a thrilling adventure in the game titled One Bit! Take the reins of a charming one-bit character as you navigate through an array of challenging tracks. Your journey is filled with exciting obstacles that test your agility and reflexes. As you progress, don t forget to grab checkpoints to save your progress and provide yourself with the opportunity

Judged as a racing game, One Bit hits the notes you would hope for: responsive steering, a scoring system based on time, position or distance and upgrades or unlocks between races. Playing it works your timing and spatial awareness, which is a large part of why the "one more round" feeling is so strong.

Tips and tricks

  • Nitro or boost is best used on straights where you are already stable, not to rescue a bad corner.
  • On mobile, tilt controls feel exciting but touch buttons are usually more precise. Try both before you settle.
  • Use the whole width of the road. Cutting across from the outside to the inside of a bend and back out again shortens the distance and keeps your speed up.
  • Look where you want to go, not at the wall you want to avoid. Your steering follows your attention.
  • Because this is a Pixel game, pixel games often have very precise hitboxes — trust the sprite edges.
  • Because this is a Platform game, jump from the very edge of a platform for maximum distance.

Who will enjoy it

Who is One Bit for? In a word, anyone who enjoys speed, vehicles and shaving seconds off a personal best. Expect a single race of one to three minutes, or a longer career if unlocks are involved. How hard is it? Forgiving on early tracks, demanding on later ones. The controls are tap and drag based, which makes it comfortable on touch screens as well as with a mouse.
